Our focus in the virtual reality assisted product design project was on Normet Multitec underground vehicles interior. The goal was to exhibit various designers interior options at Normeeting 2017 exhibition. Variations were then shown in authentic virtual underground environment and user input was gathered from user friendliness, lines of sight and aesthetics. Leap Motion technique allowed us to scrutiny ergonomics by enabling the tracking of users physical hands in virtual reality. Interactivity allowed adjustment of the machines lights, location of oncoming vehicles, seats position and to even shuffle between the different interior designs.
The design is still confidential and cannot currently be shown.
